McEwen as Lanterne Rouge?
Robbie McEwen was set down by the judges after his rough ride at the finish of Stage 3. Some folks indicated that he was given the time of the Lanterne Rouge for that stage, which isn't technically correct. He was given 186th place at the back of the initial pack at 0:00. Three riders finished the day in excess of that time: Sébastien Hinault (0:20); Michael Albasini (0:24); and Constantino Zaballa (1:38).
